The Post-war abstract master Hsiao Chin's major retrospective exhibition In my beginning is my end: the art of Hsiao Chin opens on 31st July at the Mark Rothko Art Centre in Latvia, running until 25th October 2020. To celebrate the artist’s 85th milestone year, the exhibition presents his iconic master works alongside the permanent collection of Mark Rothko paintings, exploring for the first time how the two artists’ ideas and practices converged throughout the 1960s, both working to forge a language of spiritual abstraction.
